Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs midfield maestro George Lebese has revealed that coach Steve Komphela has given the players leeway to be themselves on the field.
Lebese believes that Komphela, in comparison to the previous coach Stuart Baxter, allows the team to play with freedom.
Despite Chiefs struggles this season after losing the MTN8 and Telkom Knockout finals, Lebese has backed Komphela to succeed at the Soweto giants.
"To be honest with you, there isn't much difference except for the fact that Steve has got his own philosophy of wanting us to play a bit more, whereas with the previous coach we were not getting the freedom of playing like we do now," told KickOff.
"It was all about transition and good game management. We still have that, but Steve wants us to use the talent we have because he believes we can dictate games."
Chiefs will face fellow title contenders Wits at the Bidvest Stadium on Tuesday evening.
