Leal relishing new lifeline

Polokwane - Newly appointed Polokwane City head coach Julio Leal said he is having a good time at Rise and Shine so far, following his first week training sessions with his squad.

The former Amazulu and Orlando Pirates mentor believes that his troops are responding positively to his training methods and his tactics.

Leal also revealed that the FIFA international break was a blessing in disguise as it helped the struggling Limpopo based outfit go back to the drawing board and re-strategize ahead of their weekend clash against Platinum Stars at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium.

“The boys are doing very well since I started working with them,” revealed Leal.

“I had a good time with them throughout the week and we have been doing two sessions every day.

“And they are responding very positively and they are showing a lot of commitment.

“They are also exchanging their different experiences trying to understand one football language.

“And I think that the FIFA break really helped us a lot considering our current situation.”

The Brazilian international will be hoping to get a dream start in the Rise and Shine colours against the inform Platinum Stars on Saturday.

Kick-off is at 15:30.
