Larsen: We have set targets

Cape Town - Golden Arrows coach Clinton Larsen has revealed that he has set early targets for his team, in addition to stating that his team have not fully gelled yet.

‎Abafana Besthende top the latest Premiership standings after collecting nine points from their opening four league ties. However, Larsen feels that his team are not yet at the standard where he wants them to be.

"We are working hard as a team. We have lot of new players and we are still trying to gel," he told KickOff.

"We not yet where we want to be. We still have new players that are adapting. We want to continue working hard and remain competitive in the league this season."

The Kwa-Zulu Natal-based outfit registered their third consecutive victory of the season, when they defeated Bloemfontein Celtic 2-1 thanks to goals from Nkanyiso Mngwengwe and Wayde Jooste.

"We have set simple targets this season. We are trying to get eight points after five games," Larsen added.

"We got nine points in four games and we have already achieved that. Our next target is in the next five games to meet our small targets."
