Komphela spoilt for choice in goal

Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs coach Steve Komphela says Itumeleng Khune is in contention to start against Mamelodi Sundowns in the Telkom Knockout final.

The 28-year-old Khune has been side-lined with a knee injury since early November, but recently returned to training and is according to Komphela is in contention for a starting berth in Durban.

"I have three top keepers - Khune, [Brilliant] Khuzwayo and [Reyaad] Pieterse - all training hard for the final and fighting for a starting place," Komphela told the Daily Sun.

"I have not yet made a decision on who will start against Downs. I still need to assess the situation and consult our goalkeeping coaches," he added.

Kick-off is at 18:00 on Wednesday, December 16.
