Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs coach Steve Komphela has admitted he cannot put a finger on why his side plays at a good level, but are unlucky in terms of getting the rewards they deserve.
Amakhosi put on a largely positive display in last Saturday's 1-0 defeat to SuperSport United, but were undone by a superb piece of finishing by SuperSport striker Jeremy Brockie.
Despite enjoying the majority of possession and hitting the woodwork three times, the Glamour Boys could not find a way back after Brockie's brilliant first half strike.
He told the Sowetan, "It's confusing. We did everything right, we played the Chiefs way but the ball just didn't go into the net. Do you falter players? Not at all.
"When you don't bring positive results it becomes difficult to move on. Players create chances, but we don't hit the back of the net. Apart from the defeat, the boys must have enjoyed themselves. We need to inspire these kids to keep on pushing."
Chiefs face Bloemfontein Celtic in their opening Premiership encounter on Sunday (20 August) at the Free State Stadium in Bloemfontein. The action gets underway from 15:00.
