Cape Town - Despite brushing all his accolades aside, Bidvest Wits winger Daine Klate has already cemented his place among the PSL greats.
The former Orlando Pirates midfielder help guide Wits to an impressive 3-0 victory over Pretoria powerhouse, Mamelodi Sundowns.
Klate was involved in all three goals as he opened the scoring with a well placed finish before being involved in the second goal which Eleazar Rodgers made sure he put in the back of the net.
In the second-half, Wits continued where they left off as Rodgers returned the favour with a perfectly weighted pass for Klate to pounce on.
The Port Elizabeth born has won five PSL titles, two MTN8 Cups and has two of Nedbank Cup winners medals under his belt in a career that spans over 10-years in top flight football.
"You say [I am] the most decorated player, but if you look at it it's always within a team. I didn't do it on my own for every single medal I got," Klate said as quoted by The Sowetan Live.
"It is my second season [with Wits] now and I'm just delighted for the club. Wits is a fantastic club and I have enjoyed myself.
"We only start training at 9am, but I'm there at 7am. They have a beautiful training pitch and who doesn't want to be there early?
"All in all, credit must go to the club. They have been fantastic to me. Nothing makes me more happy than getting a trophy now and hopefully we will get many more," he stated.
