Cape Town - Jomo Cosmos have acquired the services of Kenya international Kevin Kimami as they are faced with a battle for survival in the Premiership this season.
The former Mathare United player joins Ezenkosi on a free transfer after his contract with Tuskers expired in December last year.
According to reports, Cosmos coach Jomo Sono scouted the 26-year-old during a 2018 World Cup qualifier between Harambee Stars and Cape Verde in November last year and approached the player's representatives during the January transfer window.
Kimani, who had short spells in Greece and Belgium before returning to Kenya, aims to hit the ground running as soon as his work permit is sorted out and wants help the team retain their top-flight status in the seven remaining games of the campaign.
"I am just waiting for the papers to be sorted out before I become available for selection. I have been told that the papers are in the final stages now so I am hopeful that I will play soon," Kimani told KickOff.
"I am optimistic that all will go well for us here and I hope to feature and make a difference before the end of the season."
