Khune confirms 'successful surgery'

Cape Town – Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune has revealed that his knee surgery was very successful.

The South African international had to withdraw from the Bafana Bafana squad after he injured his knee during a training session at Naturena.

According to Khune’s official Instagram account, the 28-year-old confirmed that his knee surgery went well and has already checked out of hospital.

“Signing out at the Hospital after a successful surgery this morning,” said Khune in his post.

“Thank you very much for all the prayers and messages of support.

“I deeply appreciate you guys for being part of my journey even if it has its ups and downs, y'all stuck and still believed in me.”
