Khumalo: I never said I was great

Cape Town - SuperSport United defender Bongani Khumalo acknowledged the limitations of his talent as a footballer, but says that his attitude made up for his shortcomings.

In 2010 Khumalo made a dream move to English Premiership side Tottenham Hotspur after winning three consecutive Premiership titles with SuperSport.

However, Khumalo never played a competitive game for Spurs and was shipped out on loan throughout his time in England.

"I've never thought for one second that I'm the best player, but I will work and fight, and never give up. That's it," Khumalo told KickOff.

"I will never say 'I was a great player' but I'll say 'I worked hard, I grafted, I did whatever I could to improve'."
