Kekana relishing midfield battle against Chiefs

Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns midfield enforcer Hlompho Kekana is relishing for the challenge of going up against his Kaizer Chiefs midfield counterparts in the Telkom Knockout final.

Kekana is set to battle with the likes of Willard Katsade and Lucky Baloyi in the centre of the field in the final on December 16.

The two Absa Premiership club powerhouses will put everything on the line in the final showdown for the prized silverware at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.

"It will be the battle of the midfield," Kekana told Soccer Laduma.

"Chiefs have a great midfield with great players and Sundowns also have quality in that department which means the team that wins the midfield battle have a better chance of creating more opportunities and scoring.

"We respect them but we don't fear them. On the day we will give our best and make sure we win the trophy."

Kick-off is at 18:00.
