Katsande to do Ajax no favours

Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Willard Katsande has reiterated that there will be no favours for his former employers Ajax Cape Town on Saturday.

Amakhosi will face the Urban Warriors at the Moses Mabhida Stadium as the Premiership resumes after the FIFA break.

Katsande arrived from Zimbabwe and spent a single season at Ajax before moving to Naturena in 2011.

"I always thank them (Ajax Cape Town) for giving me the breakthrough but I have been here for quite some so there are no emotions involved anymore," Katsande told KickOff.

"The only thing that I need to do is just my job with Kaizer Chiefs in the same way I do it in every game that I play.

"Every team that we play against, even if they played badly in their previous game, whenever they play us they always bring their A game.

"We are much aware and ready and the past results are helping us to be in a better position and be in a good mood mentally and physically. I think we are ready to play this one."

Kick-off is at 18:00.

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
