Cape Town - New Ajax Cape Town recruit Rodrick Kabwe is looking forward to making an impact in South Africa next year after joining from Zambian champions Zanaco.
The left-footed playmaker, who has 25 caps for the Zambian national side, played an integral part in Zanaco winning the league in 2016.
But he won't be representing them in the CAF Champions League next year, having instead earned himself a move to Ajax Cape Town after a successful trial at the South African side - the transfer was confirmed on Thursday.
The 24-year-old, who was spotted by an Urban Warriors scout in Zambia, says he has enjoyed his stay in Cape Town and can't wait to get started again next next year when the squad reassembles after the mid-season Christmas break.
"Luis (Ajax scout Luis de Faria) saw me and recommend me to come here and now I find myself here in Cape Town at Ajax," Kabwe told the Cape side's website.
"It has been really fantastic, the guys are friendly and I am feeling good. I have only been here for little over a week, so it is quite interesting and I hope we will build on our relationships when I come back.
"I am excited yes, this will be my first international club. I am really excited and I thank God for it. I wouldn't say much about myself right now, come and watch for yourself next year."
