Cape Town - Moeneeb Josephs believes the critics this season have helped Bidvest Wits sustain their title challenge with Mamelodi Sundowns.
After four consecutive Premiership victories the Clever Boys are firmly within the title race, trailing Pitso Mosimane's men by four points.
The former Orlando Pirates shot-stopper insists the Wits squad will continue to defy all odds as the last seven fixtures will decide who walks away with the ABSA Premiership crown,
"You know what - we need them (the critics), If there is no one who is going to try to hold you back, you will lose your way," the former Bafana goalkeeper told the club's official website.
"As a team we always need to be reminded of them saying; you are never going to do it, you will never win the league.
"Those kinds of people motivate us all. The negative comments are one of our biggest driving points," he added.
"As a club we have always been underestimated. We don't need the critics to think much of our chances - what matters is what we think of ourselves when we walk out on to the pitch."
