Jele expecting success under Ertugral

Cape Town - Orlando Pirates defender Happy Jele says he is a long-time admirer of Muhsin Ertugral and is determined to win silverware under the club's new coach.

Ertugral took over from Eric Tinkler at the Buccaneers last week, the latter having taken the team to two cup finals last season - the CAF Confederation Cup and the Nedbank Cup.

Jele, who battled with injury last term, says he is excited about the prospect of working under the Turk and is optimistic that Pirates' experience in reaching finals will be to their benefit.

"Yes, I am looking forward to be working with Muhsin because I have always admired him," the right-back told Goal.com website.

"We are going to try our best to do well for the team and try to win something, but for now although we lost the two finals we worked extremely hard to try and carry that (lessons) on for next season to be able to do well and win something."

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
