It's not all dark and gloom, says Jonevret

Johannesburg - Despite their 1-0 defeat to Bidvest Wits on Thursday evening, Orlando Pirates head coach Kjell Jonevret believes that the Soweto giants can still turn the tables around and complete the 2016/17 season on a high note by securing a spot inside the top half of the log.

Pirates registered their seventh league defeat of the current campaign as they went down to the Absa Premiership title contenders Wits at the Bidvest Stadium courtesy of Cuthbert Malajila solitary strike.

The Swede born tactician admitted that the Students were a better side on the night compared to his charges but remained optimistic that the Happy People will get their rhythm back.

"We gave the ball away too often and we also conceded a lot of set pieces," Jonevret laments.

"I believe that we’ll get it right going forward. Tonight (Thursday) Wits were better, they were more confident than us but we have a very good squad.

"We’ll get back on top where we belong. There are still few games left in the league and we’ll finish in the top 8.

"We also have a cup semi-final to play so it’s not all dark and gloom."
