Gyimah wants to retire at Pirates

Cape Town - Orlando Pirates defender Edwin Gyimah has declared that the Soweto club will be his last in the Premiership.

The 25-year-old arrived in the country to play for SuperSport United before joining Mpumalanga Black Aces.

In his first season at Pirates, Gyimah found regular game-time as the defensive department suffered a number of injuries.

After spending four years in South Africa, the Ghanaian wants his next destination to be Europe.

"I had never played for a big club before I joined Pirates. That said, this doesn't mean I am thinking of staying at Pirates for the rest of my life," Gyimah told KickOff.

"I want to see out my contract and then go overseas as per my vision. Pirates will be my last club in South Africa because I feel I have seen it all in the PSL.

"My aim is to play in Europe, but for now I want to serve my contract with Pirates. I want to sacrifice myself so that when I leave they will know I did my best for the team."
