Cape Town - Cape Town City defender Tshepo Gumede insists the Mother City outfit are not intimidated by their up-coming PSL fixture against Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs.
The sides square off at Cape Town Stadium on Tuesday night with Amakhosi just a single point behind the table-topping Citizens.
However, Gumede believes the fact they have already beaten Chiefs this season, 1-0 in the quarter-final of the MTN8 Cup, gives them additional confidence ahead of the key fixture.
"Pressure? We don't feel any pressure," he told KickOff website.
"It's a brand new game and the fact that we've beaten them before doesn't count for anything, you know. But it tells us we have the ability to beat them.
"This game will also have its own pressures but like I said we don't feel pressure. We've prepared well and are going into this match fully focused but with no real pressure.
"It's a fixture any player wants to be involved in, you know. I'm confident the players will raise their game as they've done against the big teams we have faced so far. But no one needs extra motivation for this fixture and hopefully we can get a positive result."
