Cape Town - Nathan
Paulse has been described as a warrior by Ajax Cape Town captain Travis
Graham, following his return to the squad with a fractured cheekbone.
Paulse took a place on the Urban Warriors bench in mid-week as they picked up their first win of the season in the 3-2 battle with Platinum Stars.
The target-man was pictured with a carbon fiber mask on Ajax social media pages and Graham feels he deserves massive respect for wanting to contribute, as the Cape Town-based side look to kick-start their campaign.
"He didn't play due to safety reasons, but he was ready to risk it all for the team," he told the club's website. "Nathan is an incredible warrior, even if he has suffered a big or small knock he will not sit out.
"He always gives his all for the team and we can always count on him to have our back. Nathan is vital to the team with his experience as a key motivator - he has great advice for the youngsters and that is something you can't replace.
"Nathan is a massive asset to the team and being able to call on him is a huge advantage and boost to all of us at the club."
The Urban Warriors next have the daunting task of welcoming the current CAF Champions League winners, the in-form Mamelodi Sundowns to Cape Town Stadium on Wednesday after an impressive 5-0 route of Highlands Park.
Kick off is at 19:30.
