Cape Town - Golden Arrows and Bidvest Wits played to a goalless draw in an Absa Premiership game at the Princess Magogo Stadium on Wednesday night.
The draw sees Abafana Bes'thende stay on position five on the league table, while the Clever Boys also remain in third spot on the standings.
Wits goalkeeper Darren Keet was called into action in the opening stages of the game; denying Arrows duo Vuyani Ntanga and Danny Phiri.
Just before the half-hour mark, Arrows shot-stopper Nkosingiphile Gumede was also tested by Sfiso Hlanti with the former making a good save.
The last chance of the first-half fell to Arrows midfielder Nduduzo Sibiya, but the attacker's attempt narrowly missed the target on the stroke of half-time.
Another entertaining half followed, but both Arrows and Wits were struggling to convert their chances in front of goal.
Kagisho Dikgacoi was introduced by Arrows coach Clinton Larsen in the 77th minute as the home side looked to break the deadlock.
But, Gumede was the busier of the two goalkeepers in the second-half as he pulled off a late save to deny Wits midfielder Elias Pelembe.
Wits captain Thulani Hlatshwayo had a chance to hand his side the victory in stoppage time, but he missed the target as the match ended in a goalless draw.
