Eymael: Pirates game is just another fixture

Cape Town - Polokwane City coach Luc Eymael insists he has prepared his troops no differently for their clash like any other match with Orlando Pirates on Sunday.

City are on a two-match winning streak and will be targeting more of the same when they lock horns with the Buccaneers, who are unbeaten in the Premiership this season.

City edged newcomers Highlands Park 3-2 at home and followed it up with a 1-0 win over Maritzburg United before the FIFA break.

"We have been training well and we are ready to face any opponent," Eymael told The Sowetan.

"To face Pirates for me is just like any other team. For the media, it is a big game but for us it is just another fixture.

"You are not going to get six or nine points just because you beat Pirates. It means the game is as important as any other we will have this season.

"We have to be professional and look for consistency as we strive to achieve our target, which is to qualify the club for the Top Eight for the first time in its history."

The match at New Peter Mokaba Stadium is set to kick-off at 15:30.
