Eymael confirms Tema interest

Cape Town - Free State Stars coach Luc Eymael has confirmed his side's interest in signing out-of-favour Polokwane City defender Tshepo Tema at the end of the season.

The defender reportedly tried to force a move away from Rise and Shine at the start of 2017/18 and subsequently fell out of favour with club officials. As such, the 29-year-old has not made an appearance in the current campaign.

However, with the player's contract expiring at the end of June, he will be available to sign for Ea Lla Koto on a free transfer.

Eymael and Tema previously worked together at Polokwane, with the Belgian confirming to Kickoff about Stars' interest in securing the defender's services ahead of 2018/19.

He told the publication: "Tshepo Tema is not yet here he is still at Polokwane City. But, yeah. we are looking for him.

"But it's not yet done you know because his contract with Polokwane City will end at the end of the season. So we will see at the end of the season if we find an agreement or not."

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
