Ertugral ready to rumble for Pirates

Cape Town - New Orlando Pirates coach Muhsin Ertugral is excited about taking on the challenge of returning the club to its status as one of the top teams in South Africa.

Ertugral will officially commence his tenure as coach when the players return from the Premiership break in July.

The Turkish-born tactician will be looking to guide Pirates to glory after they finished last season without silverware despite making it to the finals of both the CAF Confederation Cup and Nedbank Cup.

"It's really an honour for me to coach a big club like Pirates and I'm looking forward to the challenge," Ertugral told KickOff.

"Of course it's not going to be easy as the pressure and demands to win silverware are always very big. But I'm very excited nonetheless and like I said it's an honour to be the head coach of such a big club.

"It's really a fantastic situation to be in as a coach. It's important to get the confidence in the players before the season starts."
