Cape Town- Orlando Pirates head coach Muhsin Ertugral has praised his in-form striker Tendai Ndoro following his brace in a 2-1 victory over Ajax Cape Town on Tuesday.
The Zimbabwean international forward continued with his impressive form for the Buccaneers as the Soweto giants claimed maximum points over the Urban Warriors at the Cape Town Stadium.
Ajax grabbed a consolation goal in the second half courtesy of veteran forward Nathan Paulse.
"Tendai (Ndoro) is a star player who has something special with him," Ertugral insisted
"And we need to nurture that as a technical team. He understands the lines very well and how he has to open up his body.
"And he also understands which areas he has to be in and when, so his positioning is also perfect."
Notably, young goalkeeper Brighton Mhlongo made his way back in to the starting line-up for Pirates, replacing Felipe Ovono, and had a stellar game between the sticks.
The Turkish born tactician was pleased.
"I must take my hat off to Brighton Mhlongo tonight (Tuesday)," he said.
"He was a standing goalkeeper tonight and even though he was not playing his attitude remained professional.
"He knuckled down at training and he was focused on improving, he has been very supportive of other goalkeepers in the team as well."
Pirates will face Cape Town City in their next league encounter at the Orlando Stadium on Saturday while Ajax will welcome Polokwane City to the Cape Town Stadium.
