Ertugral is my father, says Gyimah

Cape Town - Orlando Pirates defender Edwin Gyimah has shown respect to coach Muhsin Ertugral after the Soweto derby clash against Kaizer Chiefs.

Gyimah was gifted with the Man of the Match award after his heroic performance after Amakhosi and the Buccaneers played out to a dull draw at the FNB Stadium on Saturday in front of an 80 000-strong crowd.

The defender and Ertugral were pictured in a heated argument at the Cape Town international airport following Pirates victory over Ajax Cape Town.

The Ghanaian international lost his place in the Buccaneers starting XI but has since slowly made his way back into first team contention.

"Sometimes things happen for good reason or good cause," says Gyimah.

"He is my father and at the end of the day I have to respect him.

"We don't have any problems, we are free. He is very professional and I am professional too.

"We have put our differences aside," insists Gyimah.

The Sea Robbers now face SuperSport United on Tuesday in PSL clash at the Mbombela Stadium.

Kick-off is at 19:30.
