Cape Town - Mpumalanga Black Aces coach Muhsin Ertugral was furious with his players after conceding a late goal in the 1-1 draw against University of Pretoria.
Aces were in control of the game after Collins Mbesuma scored in the 30th minute at the Mbombela Stadium on Saturday, but with the last kick of the game, deep into injury time, Atusaye Nyondo equalised for AmaTuks.
Speaking after the game, a clearly furious Ertugral told SuperSport: "I need to calm myself down because I’m really, really angry.
"At 2-0 the game is over, and obviously at the end it is a team that will fight for every centimeter, they will come back at you. We spoke about that, and we can only give the points away ourselves.
"We had a 2-0 chance, we didn't do that. Secondly, I don't know what we were trying to play there.
"It was already clear that seven minutes was given, so you keep the ball position and if necessary on the side, but you still want to counter-attack.
"And then you concede these kind of goals. I'm really, really very angry. We don't deserve what we have achieved, and the players need to take some responsibility; they are always escaping that.
"I'm really, really very angry from the possibility of what we had and what we are taking out of it."
