Erasmus: We deserve to win Confed Cup

Cape Town - Kermit Erasmus deems that Orlando Pirates are worthy of lifting the CAF Confederation Cup.

The Buccaneers face Etoile du Sahel in a two-leg final at the end of the month and Erasmus is confident that his team-mates can overcome the Tunisian side.

“I think as a team, we deserve to win the Cup, and who scores isn’t important. Going into the Final it’s about playing for the team and you never know who will score.

“It’s about who’s in the right position at the right time, and who’s sharp enough to bury the chances we create. All I’m focusing on is making sure we score goals and we win over the two legs.”

Pirates clash with Sahel on Saturday, November 21 at Orlando Stadium in the first-leg. Kick-off is at 20:00.

The second-leg is set to take place in Stade Olympique de Sousse on Sunday, November 29.

Kick-off is at 20:30.

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
