Erasmus leaves Pirates for France

Cape Town - French Ligue 1 side, Stade Rennais FC have confirmed the signing of Orlando Pirates striker, Kermit Erasmus.

According to Soccer Laduma, 25 year old Erasmus has signed a two-and-a-half year deal with the French club who currently sit fourth in the league, 26 points behind runaway leaders Paris Saint-Germain.

Erasmus, capped 8 times for Bafana Bafana (1 goal), already has experienced European football, turning out for Feyenoord in 2008.

After only playing in four matches from 2008 to 2010, Erasmus was sent on loan to Excelsior Rotterdam where he netted 12 goals in 30 games. 

He returned to South Africa firstly with SuperSport United before moving to Orlando Pirates in 2013 where he found the back of the net on 13 occasions in 51 matches.
