Enyimba attacker to go on trial at Urban Warriors

Cape Town - Ajax Cape Town are said to be looking at the possibility of signing Enyimba attacker Stanley Dimgba.

Dimgba played for the Nigerian side in the CHAN tournament two years back and was also part of the initial Nigeria U-23 team that was selected for the 2016 Olympics, although he ended up not making the final cut for Rio.

The 24-year-old could be now set to join his compatriot Ejike Uzoenyi at the Urban Warriors - according to the Footballlive website he will start a trial with Ajax this week.

"Dimgba is heading to Ajax Cape Town for trails. He will leave [on Tuesday] for South Africa. His style will no doubt suit the PSL, he is quick, strong and dribbles very well," a source was quoted saying.

"I have no doubt that he will succeed in the trials. For the games I watched him play for Enyimba last season, he is still one of the players with a sweet left foot in the Nigeria Professional Football League."

The Cape Town team have managed only seven goals in nine league outings this season and currently sit in 14th spot in the standings.

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
