'End product' pleases Hunt

Cape Town - Bidvest Wits coach Gavin Hunt was pleased to see his team's ruthless showing in front of goal as they thrashed Polokwane City 5-0 in Johannesburg on Friday night.

A hat-trick by James Keene, together with goals by Paseka Sekese and Ben Motshwari, took the Clever Boys top of the table ahead of the weekend action.

Hunt was thrilled with the performance, which had followed a 2-1 loss to Black Aces the previous week.

"We owed each other a performance. Last week was unacceptable for us - it was way below our standards - but they gave a performance tonight and there was end-product as well," he said.

The three-time Absa Premiership title winning coach was also pleased with the contributions of the younger players.

"There are a lot of games coming and I believe in these kids. I never even used the youngster, Pakamani [Mahlambi] tonight, and I didn’t want to use him tonight for various reasons.

"Maybe this was a game for him to start, but we have to rotate the squad and there are going to be times like in February where we play three games a week, and you are going to have to use everybody."
