Ea Lla Koto confirm deals for defensive duo

Cape Town - Free State Stars have bolstered their defensive options after signing experienced duo Rooi Mahamutsa and Thamsanqa Teyise on free transfers.

Ea Lla Koto chairman Mike Mokoena confirmed the news on Tuesday, ahead of the club's Premiership clash with Baroka FC at Goble Park on Wednesday.

Mahamutsa and Teyise link up with Stars after their respective deals with Orlando Pirates and Supersport United expired at the end of the 2015/16 campaign.

"It is true that we have signed them. I just hope we will stop conceding stupid goals like we did against Cape Town City," Mokoena told KickOff.

"If you check our goals against Cape Town City they were all embarrassing, so I hope that department will be okay."

The defensive duo boast a wealth of top-flight experience, with close to 300 games between them.

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
