'Downs trio give Pitso options

Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns believe the return of Anele Ngcongca, Mzikayise Mashaba and Yannick Zakri from injury will provide coach Pitso Mosimane with a plethora of options.

The trio have largely spent much of 2016/17 on the sidelines as a result of injury and are yet to really play influential roles in the squad up till now.

However, the reigning African champions report that the three players have since recovered from their respective knocks and are available to Mosimane ahead of Wednesday's Premiership clash with Bloemfontein Celtic.

A statement on the club's official website said: "Thapelo Morena will welcome the return to fitness of Anele Ngcongca, who will most likely return to action after months out injured. This should free not only Morena, but also Asavela Mbekile for more attacking roles.

"Mosimane also has the enviable headache with the return of Mzikayise Mashaba and Yannick Zakri from injuries too. And with Anthony Laffor having been Mosimane's go-to-man when the going got tough, it is clear that Celtic will be facing areal tough outing."

The match against a struggling Siwelele outfit will get underway from 19:30 at the Dr Petrus Molemela Stadium in Bloemfontein.
