'Downs extend Billiat's contract - reports

Cape Town - Khama Billiat has reportedly extended his contract with Mamelodi Sundowns by another year.

The attacking midfielder has been an important figure for the club having scored 10 goals in the Absa Premiership so far.

The Zimbabwean has formed a killer partnership upfront with Castro Leonardo and former Ajax Cape Town youngster Keagan Dolly.

According to the Sowetan Live, the club has taken its one-year option as Billiat penned a three-year deal in 2013.

“Khama joined Sundowns [in 2013] on a three-year deal, which means his contract was going to expire at the end of June this year,” the Sowetan quotes an unnamed source.

“But the club has taken their one-year option, so he will be around until the end of next season at least and he may stay longer depending on whether he signs a new contract.”
