Dolly: 'Downs aiming for clean sweep

Johannesburg - Keagan Dolly believes Mamelodi Sundowns have the quality within their team to compete for every trophy on offer in the 2016/17 campaign.

Following a dominant campaign last season, whereby the Chloorkop-based outfit claimed both the league and Telkom Knockout titles, Dolly is confident that Pitso Mosimane's charges can go onto win every title on offer.

"I think we have the quality at Sundowns to do that [make a clean sweep], even though it is never easy. We are the team to beat this season," Dolly told The Sowetan.

"The teams are going to start focusing on how we play. People already know what we are going to do when we have the ball, so it's going to be difficult. But I think we have the quality to do well in every competition this season."

Mosimane bolstered his league-winning side for the new season with the acquisitions of Sibusiso Vilakazi, Lucky Mohomi, Ricardo Nascimento and Thapelo Morena.

"With the success in the (CAF) Champions League thus far, the momentum and with the games that we played when other teams were off, firstly for the MTN8 I think that momentum will carry us. Yeah, it is just for us to take it one game at a time," Dolly added.

Masandawana will square off against SuperSport United in the quarter-finals of the Wafa Wafa tournament at the Loftus stadium on Sunday, August 28.

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
