Dikwena unlucky not to beat Pirates, says Johnson

Cape Town - Platinum Stars head coach Cavin Johnson believes that his side should have secured maximum points against Orlando Pirates.

Dikwena and the Buccaneers played out to a goalless draw at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium as the Premiership resumed on Wednesday evening.

According to Soccer Laduma, Johnson says that his charges were unlucky not have buried the Sea Robbers.

“It was a good game of football, I thought my team should have gone home with the three points today,” Johnson said after the game.

“We played against a big team like Pirates, I think the ball just didn’t fall for us where it had to fall for us, but as far as combination play, attacking only and defending when they had the counter, I thought we did well today.

“Unlucky to my players, I thought we put in a good shift. Out of both the teams I thought we were the unluckier one.”

Stars next face PSL minnows Baroka FC next week Wednesday while Pirates have a tough task against Mamelodi Sundowns on Saturday.
