Cape Town - Former Ajax Cape Town boss Roger De Sa is reportedly on the verge of being named as Maritzburg United's new head coach, with the Premiership club expected to make an announcement on Tuesday.
The club's chairperson Farook Kadodia, revealed last Friday that a new appointment was imminent, while also highlighting the qualities he was looking for in potential candidates for the vacant post.
Kadodia wants to see the new man at the helm utilise a blend of youth and experience, with a particular focus on promoting promising players from youth ranks.
And it seems De Sa fits the bill, having employed a similar philosophy at his previous club, Ajax Cape Town.
"Roger De Sa, as I'm speaking to you, will be unveiled as the coach by the club on Tuesday," an unnamed source told KickOff.
"As things stand other things will remain the same. Fadlu Davids will be his assistant coach while his brother Mahier will remain his second assistant and Arthur Bartman will remain the goalkeeper coach."
Prior to his stint at the Ajax helm, De Sa also had spells in charge of Orlando Pirates, Wits (twice) and Santos.
