De Sa: Next matches important

Cape Town - Ajax Cape Town coach Roger de Sa believes the team's next two Absa Premiership results could shape the rest of their season.

The Urban Warriors host Supersport United on Saturday, November 21 and travel to Mpumalanga Black Aces on December 19 in their last two games of 2015.

"It's really important, as these two games will really mould us for the new year and the second-half of the season, which really is the two-thirds of our season because we are going to have a very, very tight and difficult schedule come January and February, with so many games to catch up and obviously playing in Africa," De Sa told KickOff.

"It's going to be a real test of our depth and character. So to get something out of these next two games will be great for us, so that we have something to work on come the new year.

"Right now we're ninth on the log and looking over our shoulder a bit, so it would be nice to get a minimum of four points to get us into a more comfortable position and something to look forward to in the new year."

Ajax punched well above their weight during the 2014/2015 season and went on to finish fifth.

De Sa's side looked set to continue their growth at the start of the campaign, with several promising results, but have not won since defeating Kaizer Chiefs in the MTN8 in September.

Since that victory, the Cape Town outfit have lost three and drawn two in the Telkom Knockout and PSL to find themselves eliminated from the former and wallowing in ninth place in the latter.

Kick-off is at 20:00.
