De Sa feeling different Ajax 'buzz'

Cape Town - Match days are continuing to come thick and fast for our PSL side, but with a good run for Roger De Sa and his team in recent times, he welcomes these matches in quick succession, stating that ‘there is a buzz about the team at the moment’.

Ajax Cape Town face Free State Stars on Wednesday in between two tough encounters as the Urban Warriors travelled to Polokwane City and picked up a crucial 3-2 win, while looking towards this Saturday’s CAF Confederations Cup match against Sagrada Esperanca.

“It’s a tough trip for us once again. We are just making a pit stop at home before we go,” said De Sa on the club’s website.

“We’ve had a nice run, some good results run on the road, but it’s always challenging; we are a little thin still, we have a couple of injuries but again we’ll try our best to put a good team together and go out there and play well.

“We are enjoying being on the road together; the guys are pulling together nicely. There is a buzz about the team at the moment,” commented De Sa.

The victory over Polokwane City proved to be more extraordinary considering the fact that Nathan Paulse, Rivaldo Coetzee, Mosa Lebusa and Milton Ncube were all unavailable for selection.

“It will be even more difficult now with Lawrence Lartey suspended after his red card, so we’ll miss him.

“Last week we also had Mosa and Rivaldo out, so we kind of had to reshuffle at the back. Hopefully we get them back in time for this match now,” he added.

The Urban Warriors face a tough encounter at Goble Park against Free State Stars on Wednesday, 24 February at 18:00.
