De Sa eyeing Senegalese striker

Cape Town - Ajax Cape Town coach Roger de Sa is pondering signing Senegalese striker Pape N'Daw after impressing during his trial.

Ajax are considering making a move for the towering forward has scored two goals during a friendly game.

N'Daw could add more depth to the striking department with the Urban Warriors set to compete in the CAF Confederations Cup.

"He's on trial and has been here for a couple of days. He's about 7ft tall and, just to give you an idea, he is about ten centimeters taller than Nathan Paulse," De Sa told KickOff.

"We will have a good look at him and he wants to stay. We might keep him, but if we do keep him he is not likely to play too much this season because of work-permit issues and everything else.

"He will probably be eligible to play in March, so it is a decision that we are going to make if it's worthwhile or not, but he looks pretty good. He could be next the Mame Niang."
