Dan Dance happy with win over Chiefs

Cape Town - Chippa United head coach Dan Malesela was extremely happy with his charges after they claimed a 1-0 win over Kaizer Chiefs in a pre-season friendly.

Chiefs played much of the game with a man advantage but struggled somewhat due to Steve Komphela experimenting with new players and tactics.

Despite that, Malesela believes the victory shows they are in a good place ahead of the start of the new campaign.

"These are the games that make us aware of where we need to fix and where we are a bit satisfied," he told the SABC.

"There were quite a number of good things that have happened here [in the game] that I'm happy with, and also a few that I'm not happy with.

"It's too early to say [if we are ready]. We need matches behind ourselves and as soon as you start playing matches you'll fully understand what's happening."

The Chilli Boys get their PSL campaign off with a tricky away trip to Orlando Pirates at the Orlando Stadium on August 19.

Kick off is at 18:00.
