Comitis wants to challenge Walters

Cape Town - Cape Town City owner John Comitis has revealed he is looking to bring in competition for veteran goalkeeper Shu-Aib Walters this coming season.

Walters is the Citizens' undisputed No 1, with inexperienced youngsters Samora Motloung and Tatenda Mukuruva having served as back-up last term.

The Telkom Knockout champions have been active in the transfer window to date, making six new signings, but Comitis is not planning to stop there as he eyes more options in goal.

"We are still unsettled with the depth of our goalkeeping department," he told KickOff website.

"Shu-Aib is our number one but we have to push him and keep him on his toes.

"There are two or three keepers we are looking at, just to reinforce that department, and at this stage that is all I can comment on."

Asked about where their targets were based, Comitis replied: "One locally and one abroad. We are just trying to locate the guy to get him here."
