Cape Town - Ajax Cape Town turned down overseas offers for Rivaldo Coetzee, according to the defenders agent Mike Makaab.
The 20-year-old has distanced himself from the club's pre-season training since he has found out about the situation.
However, Makaab is hopeful that a meeting with Urban Warriors CEO Ari Efstathiou will help straighten out the issue.
"Ari has been overseas. This week he is coming back and we have a planned meeting with him, where we will try and sort out this issue," Makaab was quoted saying by IOL website.
"It is an open secret that the player is not happy. A lot of good offers have been refused. These offers include overseas teams that have shown interest. That's why the player is not training with the club.
"There are offers for Rivaldo, that I can confirm. I believe we should try and find an amicable solution to this matter."
There has been ongoing talk that Mamelodi Sundowns have been trying to lure the Bafana Bafana international to Pretoria and have played a part his absence from training in Cape Town, but Makaab dismissed those allegations.
"I can categorically state that is absolutely not true," he said.
Sundowns spokesperson Thulani Thuswa also claimed the Brazilians are not guilty of any underhanded methods.
"It is not true that we have told Rivaldo to stay away," Thuswa said. "If we need him, we will consult with Ajax, not with the player.
"At Sundowns we do things professionally and we will never use such tactics to poach a player."
