Cape Town - Wits have announced that they signed Edwin Gyimah with immediate effect and have also penned deals for Thobani Mncwango, Robyn Johannes and Denis Weidlich.
Gyimah, formerly of SuperSport United and Orlando Pirates, joins with immediate effect in the January transfer window, while the other three players will start their careers with the Clever Boys next season.
"Bidvest Wits have confirmed the 'pre-contract' signing of Thobani Mncwango, Robyn Johannes and Denis Weidlich with effect from 1 July 2018. Edwin Gyimah has also signed with our club with effect from 1 January 2018. Sifiso Myeni has been recalled from his loan with immediate effect," the club stated on Twitter.
Cape Town City captain Johannes and Maritzburg United's Weidlich will boost the Students' defence, while Gyimah, who had a brief stint in Sweden at Helsingborg, can play as a holding midfielder or as a defender.
Mncwango, who is currently at Polokwane City, will add to the Johannesburg side's firepower up front, as will Myeni, who returns from SuperSport.
