Chippa reappoint Koutroulis as a new CEO

Cape Town - Chippa United Football Club announced that former CEO, Peter Koutroulis has re-assumed his responsibilities as Chief Executive Officer of the Club this month.

Peter Koutroulis, a former General Manager at Mamelodi Sundowns, Thanda Royal Zulu and Mpumalanga Black Aces has more than 25 years of experience in football as an administrator.

Koutroulis left the Port Elizabeth based Club at the end of last season and returns to the Club for his second stint.

Chippa United Chairman said; “The process of finding a CEO started immediately after securing the future of the Coach as we are looking at stabilising the Club.

“Mr Koutroulis was our preferred candidate. We were looking for a person familiar with the culture of the Club but also experienced to continue with the work we have done during the course of this season.

His vast experience in football makes him exceptionally well equipped to lead Chippa United Football Club through its continued evolution. ”

Kotroulis added: “I am delighted to be back at Chippa United Football Club. The Club has incredible potential to be fulfilled both on and off the field and that makes this opportunity absolutely compelling.

Mr Mpengesi’s passion for football is second to none and I am looking forward supporting his vision and to make a contribution working with everyone down in Port Elizabeth.

It is clear that there has been huge progress since the last time I was here and I am looking forward being part of the Team again. I thank the Board for vote of confidence,” added Koutroulis.
