Cape Town - Former Orlando Pirates full-back Innocent Chikoya has urged the Soweto giants to focus on attacking Etoile du Sahel in the first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup final on Saturday.
The 45-year-old has a clear idea of what is needed tactically, urging Buccaneers boss Eric Tinkler to shun a defensive approach for the clash at the Orlando Stadium.
Chikoya feels Tinkler should focus purely on ensuring his team finds the back of the net rather than trying to keep a clean sheet.
"The defensive mentality is not what the team needs for the home match; that system can only be used when they go to Tunisia," Chikoya told Goal website.
"Goals are what will be needed on Saturday and I hope Tinkler will play a lot of attacking players with only Sarr doing the dirty work in front of the defence.
"The attacking players will have to threaten and penetrate all game for a convincing win in the first-leg.
"They just need to keep shape, be compact and also be disciplined for the whole match," he concluded.
Kick-off is at 20:00.
