Chigova unfazed by Dikwena threat

Cape Town - Polokwane City goalkeeper George Chigova insists his side are not afraid of Nedbank Cup Last-16 opponents Platinum Stars.

Dikwena have been in sublime form of late in the Premiership and have surged up to third spot, but Chigova feels Rise and Shine have the squad to compete with Cavin Johnson's men when they face off at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium on Saturday.

"In my opinion this match favours us. You know Cup competitions are a merge of Premier League players with those of Multichoice Diski Challenge," he told the club's official website.

"And we are strong in both sides given how our MDC side has performed this season.

"I don't see the encounter with Dikwena as a threat. This match is of the outmost importance to us and we will make sure we come out victorious."

Chigova has been ever present for City this season, making 20 appearances since joining from SuperSport United at the start of the campaign.
