Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs' MultiChoice Diski (MDC) Challenge team compromising mainly of youngsters will gear up for their opening clash of the competition against Bidvest Wits on Saturday.
The third instalment of the popular tournament will get underway in the morning at 10:00am with defending champions Golden Arrows facing Bloemfontein Celtic in what could be an exciting clash at King Zwelithini Stadium.
In another 10:00am start, Cape Town City take on SuperSport United in Gugulethu. Chiefs' clash with Wits then takes place at 12:00pm also at King Zwelithini Stadium.
The MDC has enjoyed growing popularity in recent seasons mainly because of the quality of football played, but also due to the opportunity afforded to younger players to showcase their talents.
Amakhosi's most notable MDC product was Emmanuel Letlotlo last term - he finished the campaign as the competition's top scorer and it won him promotion and a contract with the club's first team.
