Chiefs youngster targets Amajita success

Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs youth development product Wiseman Meyiwa believes that Amajita are more than capable of reaching the latter stages of the 2017 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations.

The young star played a pivotal role in the side's 3-1 victory over Cameroon in their opening match, and is optimistic of continuing to be successful.

"It’s important that we put our performance against Cameroon behind us and shift focus to Thursday’s match against Senegal," he told the club's official website.

"One win in a tournament of this magnitude does not mean anything, unless you can take it forward and get out of the group. We don't fear anyone, but we respect all the teams who have qualified.

"We are going to try to win our next two matches and go as far as possible. If we can get out of the group then we will look at our target again and reassess it as we go along.

"People will look at our group and say we should get out of it but we still need to go and win the matches."

Amajita’s next game is against Senegal on Thursday and will be played at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Zambia with a kick-off scheduled for 18:00.
