Chiefs to benefit financially if Gordinho goes

Cape Town - Mike Makaab, the representative of Kaizer Chiefs defender Lorenzo Gordinho, believes the club will profit financially if the young star was to sign for Aalborg in Denmark.

Gordinho is currently on trial with the Danish Superliga outfit and is reportedly impressing the team's coaching staff and technical team.

A decision will be made on January 17 as to whether he will be handed a contract.

Makaab says it will not be a problem for Chiefs if the player leaves Naturena as the Glamour Boys will likely get a transfer fee.

"We are still in talks with Chiefs and if he impresses Aalborg, Chiefs will benefit because the player is still contracted to them," he told Goal.com website

"Chiefs had every right to say no, because he is still their player, but they didn't. Instead, they allowed him to go and try his luck.

"Our relationship with Chiefs management is very good and again, they understand everything that's going on because they are the first to know when things like this happen."

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
