Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs have reportedly decided not to sign journeyman striker Darren Lurie following his extended trial period with the Glamour Boys at Naturena.
Amakhosi have been looking at three trialists in recent times with Lurie, Arnaldo Gomes and Jonatan Philippe all being assessed by coach Steve Komphela and his technical team.
However, Gomes was informed earlier this week that his services were not wanted at Chiefs and it appears Lurie now faces the same fate after he stopped training with the Soweto giant.
The former Mpumalanga Black Aces (now Cape Town City) and Moroka Swallows forward will no doubt be on the lookout for a new side as he plots the next step in his career.
The 25-year-old has seen his professional career fail to ignite after earlier spells at Aces and Swallows saw him get limited playing time. The striker has one pro league goal which he scored for Hapoel Afula in Greece's second tier.
