Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs face Ajax Cape Town on Saturday at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in the first of three designated Absa Premiership ‘home’ fixtures to be staged in Durban this season.
Amakhosi are in buoyant mood following a run of three consecutive league wins prior to the international break, during which they added the Macufe Cup to the Naturena trophy cabinet with a handsome 4-1 victory over Bloemfontein Celtic last Sunday.
Coach Steve Komphela is confident his players can maintain the momentum that has catapulted them to the summit of the PSL table, and provide Chiefs’ chairman and founder, Chincha Guluva with even more reason to celebrate his 72nd birthday this weekend.
“The team is working hard in training and we are going to Durban high on confidence,” says Komphela in a statement released.
“We are well prepared for the challenge and shall give everything to give our supporters the result they deserve against Ajax.”
Kaizer Chiefs marketing director Jessica Motaung adds, “The team needs all of our supporters in KZN to come out in numbers and get fully behind them.
"We urge all our supporters to purchase their tickets early and fill up the Moses Mabhida on Saturday.”
Kick-off is at 18:00.
